The project
Initiativ is a platform for companies that take part in Emissions Trading Schemes. Its website explains InEx, Initiativ's digital exchange for EU Allowances, with spot and futures trading, transparent pricing and flexible trade sizes, and shows how the platform supports compliance and emissions management. Compliance entities such as industrial installations, power generators and aviation and maritime operators, as well as banks, trading firms and carbon brokers, find what they can trade, how onboarding works and what it costs. We built the platform in Next.js with a MySQL database.
The challenge
- ETS participants face complex, changing rules and need to understand an exchange before they commit to it.
- Compliance entities and financial firms ask different questions about membership, trade sizes and fees.
- Emissions and compliance data are sensitive, so the platform had to be secure from the start.
What we built
- Product pages for InEx and InEx Pro that preview the trading screen and EU Allowance spot pricing.
- Pages on the digital settlement infrastructure behind the exchange.
- An FAQ that covers who can participate, what can be traded, minimum trade size, risk tools, asset security and fees.
- Contact and onboarding calls to action for compliance entities and financial participants.
- A secure Next.js and MySQL build, ready for new products and rule changes.
