Problems we are usually asked to fix
A penetration test is a controlled attack on your own systems, done by testers on your side, to find weaknesses before real attackers do.
Read the full overview
We test web apps, APIs, mobile apps and cloud setups, report each finding in plain language with its business risk and a clear fix, and retest once you have fixed it. Our testers follow recognized methods, including the OWASP Top 10, OWASP ASVS and MASVS, and the evidence we produce supports SOC 2 and ISO 27001 readiness and customer security reviews.
A customer asked for a pen test
An enterprise deal is waiting on a recent penetration test report and attestation letter.
An audit is coming
SOC 2 or ISO 27001 auditors expect evidence of regular security testing.
Reports nobody can act on
A previous test produced a long scanner export with no context or fix guidance.
Users can see each other's data
Access control in a multi-tenant app or API has never been tested properly.
Unsure what is exposed
Nobody has a full picture of public endpoints, cloud services and old test systems.
Outcomes
What you get
- A clear, ranked list of real weaknesses in your systems
- Fix guidance your developers can act on straight away
- Proof that fixes work, through retesting
- Evidence for customers, auditors and security questionnaires
- Fewer surprises in enterprise security reviews
- Security lessons fed back into your development process
What we deliver
Where teams use this service
Pre-launch security check
Test a new product or major release before it goes live.
SaaS enterprise sales
Provide a current report and attestation letter for customer security reviews.
Learn moreFintech and health apps
Test apps that handle payments or health data, where the impact of a breach is highest.
Mobile app releases
Test iOS and Android apps and their backend APIs together.
Cloud security review
Find misconfigurations and privilege escalation paths in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
After a pen test
Turn findings into automated pipeline checks so they do not come back.

Why teams choose Equitysoft for penetration testing
Recognised methods
Testers follow OWASP ASVS, the OWASP API Security Top 10, OWASP MASVS and NIST SP 800-115, with findings rated by CVSS.
Reports you can act on
Each finding has clear steps to reproduce and fix, plus an executive summary and a findings walkthrough.
Retest and attestation
We retest fixed issues and provide a letter of attestation for customers and auditors.
Developers who can fix
Our engineering team can fix the issues found, or guide your developers through them.
How we work
Scoping
We agree targets, test types, environments, timing and rules of engagement, and get written authorization.
You receive Scope and rules of engagement
Reconnaissance
We map the attack surface: domains, endpoints, roles, app builds and cloud assets in scope.
You receive Attack surface map
Testing
Testers combine automated scanning with manual testing of authentication, access control and business logic.
You receive Validated findings
Reporting
Each finding is rated, explained and given reproduction steps and fix guidance; urgent issues are reported immediately.
You receive Technical report and executive summary
Remediation support
We walk your team through the findings and answer questions while fixes are made.
You receive Agreed fix plan
Retest
Fixed findings are retested and the report updated to show what is closed.
You receive Retest report and attestation letter

Questions, answered
It depends on what is in scope: the number of apps, APIs, user roles and cloud accounts, whether mobile apps are included, and whether you need testing in a short window. After scoping we send a fixed price. As a guide, a web app or API penetration test usually costs $3,000 to $12,000, and a combined web, API, mobile and cloud test $12,000 to $35,000 or more (USD), including one retest.
Our testers follow recognized methods: the OWASP Top 10 and OWASP ASVS for web apps, the OWASP API Security Top 10 for APIs, OWASP MASVS and MASTG for mobile apps, and the NIST SP 800-115 approach to technical security testing. Findings are rated with CVSS.
It supports it. Both frameworks expect regular security testing, and our reports and retest evidence are commonly used by auditors. We do not issue SOC 2 reports or ISO certificates; those come from your chosen audit or certification body. We can also help put the related technical controls in place through our DevSecOps service.
A scan is automated and finds known issues quickly. A penetration test adds skilled manual testing to find logic flaws, access control gaps and chained attacks that scanners miss, and confirms which findings are real.
We agree rules of engagement first, prefer staging environments that match production, avoid destructive tests on live systems and keep in contact throughout. If we find a critical issue, we tell you straight away rather than waiting for the report.
Grey box, where testers get user accounts and some documentation, usually gives the best value: it reflects a real attacker who has signed up or stolen a login, and covers more in the same time. Black box suits external perimeter checks; white box, with code access, suits high-risk features.
Yes. One retest of fixed findings within an agreed window is included, and the report is updated to show what has been closed.
At least once a year, and after major releases, architecture changes or before large enterprise deals. Between tests, automated checks in your pipeline catch common issues early.
Testing only starts with written authorization and an agreed scope. We use named test accounts, keep test data and evidence encrypted, share reports through secure channels and delete working data at the end of the engagement. We follow GDPR and the data protection rules that apply in your country when personal data is in scope.
Yes. Our developers can fix findings in products we built or support, or we can guide your team. Either way, we retest to confirm the fix.
Most web or API tests take 1 to 3 weeks, including reporting. We need a signed scope and rules of engagement, test accounts for each role, and a contact who can respond during testing.
