Signs you need a data strategy
Data strategy consulting gives leadership a plain answer to three questions: where your data stands today, what to fix first, and what it will cost and return.
Read the full overview
We run a data maturity assessment across people, process, platform, data quality and governance, then turn the findings into a prioritized roadmap with a business case for each step. We give independent advice on platform choice (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery or staying where you are), operating model and team structure, and how to prepare your data for AI. The output is a short, costed plan your board can approve and your team can deliver, with or without us.
Projects without a plan
Data and AI projects start one at a time, each with its own tools, and none of them connect.
Spend without clear return
Platform and license costs grow, but nobody can say what value they bring.
Different numbers in every meeting
Teams use their own definitions for the same KPI and trust their own spreadsheets.
A platform decision on hold
You know the current setup will not last, but the choice of what comes next keeps slipping.
AI plans with no data behind them
Leadership wants AI, but nobody knows if the data is ready for it.

Questions, answered
A data strategy is a plan that links your business goals to the data, people, platforms and rules needed to reach them. It says which problems to solve first, what to build or buy, who owns what, and what it will cost.
It is a structured review of how well your organization uses data today, scored across areas such as strategy, skills, platform, data quality, governance and analytics. The score shows where you are strong, where gaps hold you back, and what to fix first.
Leadership teams planning investment in data or AI, companies whose reporting has grown messy, firms choosing a new data platform, and businesses preparing for an AI program who need to know if their data is ready.
A maturity scorecard, current-state findings, a prioritized use case backlog, a target architecture, a phased roadmap with costs, an operating model, and a short board-ready summary.
Yes. We build on Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery and others, so we compare them on your workloads, skills and costs. Sometimes the right answer is to improve what you already have.
We need a sponsor, access to key people for interviews and workshops (usually an hour or two each), and read access to systems or documentation. Most of the analysis is done by our team.
Yes. We review which AI use cases make sense, what data they need, and whether that data is available, clean and governed well enough. The roadmap includes the data work AI depends on.
Yes, if you want us to. Many clients use our data engineering team for the first phases. The roadmap is written so any capable team can deliver it.
A focused maturity assessment takes 2 to 4 weeks. A full strategy with roadmap, target architecture and business case usually takes 4 to 8 weeks.
It depends on the size of the organization and how many teams and systems are in scope. It is usually a fixed price agreed after a first call. As a guide, a data maturity assessment usually costs $5,000 to $15,000, and a full data strategy and roadmap costs $15,000 to $40,000 (USD).
After a first call under NDA, we agree goals, scope and an interview plan. We need a sponsor, time with the people on the interview list, and read access to cost reports and an overview of your systems.
