The project
Eaudvisor is a personal fragrance advisor for beginners and collectors. Users scan a bottle or label to identify a perfume, then read its notes, ingredients and how it was made. They save favorites in a collector's journal, follow new releases, and get AI suggestions for new fragrances based on their preferences, personality and the occasion. Hakeem, the in-app advisor, guides them through it. We built the iOS and Android apps in Flutter, with a Next.js admin panel and a Node.js backend for managing the perfume catalog.
The challenge
- Perfume buyers struggle to tell what a fragrance contains or whether it will suit them before buying.
- Checking whether a perfume is genuine and finding its details took searching across many sites.
- Collectors had no simple way to keep track of the perfumes they own and want.
What we built
- AI recognition that identifies a perfume from a photo of the bottle or label.
- Detailed perfume pages with notes, ingredients and how each fragrance is made.
- AI recommendations matched to scent preferences, personality, lifestyle and occasion.
- Favorites and a collector's journal to rate and organize perfumes.
