The project
VO Vault is a workspace for voice actors and content creators. Recordings, scripts and projects live in one secure place. A feed lets users listen to other people's auditions by category, such as commercial, animation and narration, react to them and save the ones they like. A script generator writes practice copy by category, tone and length, and a practice screen shows the script with a recorder and timer. The audition tracker logs each submission with its role and status, and charts monthly activity, book ratio and callbacks. Users subscribe to Pro or Premium plans in the app.
The challenge
- Voice actors kept recordings, scripts and audition notes in different apps and folders.
- Finding fresh practice copy in the right style took time away from practice.
- Without a log, it was hard to see how many auditions led to callbacks or bookings.
