The project
Household Notes is a free notes and grocery list app for iOS and Android that works offline. Users write notes, change their color, mark favorites and search across them. The Groceries tab holds shopping lists grouped by shop, where each item has a price and quantity and the app adds up the total before the trip. A profile page lets users set a username and photo. We built the apps in Flutter, with a Laravel backend.
The challenge
- People forget small things: errands, birthdays, ideas and what to buy.
- General notes apps do not handle shopping lists with prices and quantities per shop.
- Shoppers wanted to know what a trip would cost before they reached the checkout.
What we built
- A notes screen with dated cards, color options, favorites and an All or Fav toggle.
- A groceries screen with a list for each shop and items added with price and quantity.
- A running total for each shopping list.
- Search across all notes and full offline use.
