The project
Lunch Maybe Dinner is a mobile app for meeting people over a meal, whether the goal is a date or a business contact. Users choose the Business or Personal category and answer a questionnaire for that category, which the app uses to find compatible matches. They swipe, chat and, on the Silver Plan, video call and set extended match preferences. Women can choose to start conversations. An admin panel handles user management, blocking and account supervision. We built the apps in Flutter with a Laravel and MySQL backend.
The challenge
- Dating apps and networking apps are separate, so people who want both juggle two profiles.
- Matching on photos alone ignores what each person is looking for.
- A free app needed a clear upgrade path to pay for features like video chat.

- A freemium model with a Basic Plan and a Silver Plan that adds video chat and extended match preferences.
