The project
LiveSound is a live streaming app for concerts, where the broadcast comes from the crowd. Fans at a show stream the performance from their phones, and viewers anywhere pick between angles to watch it as it happens. Around the streams, the app helps people discover upcoming events, follow other fans and share their own clips, so the community keeps going before and after the show.
The challenge
- Fans who cannot get to a concert miss the live moment entirely.
- Clips from a show are scattered across social apps and posted after the fact.
- A single camera angle gives remote viewers a flat view of a live performance.
What we built
- Crowd-powered streaming that lets fans broadcast a show live from their phones.
- Multi-angle viewing so remote fans switch between streams from the same event.
- Event discovery for upcoming concerts.
- Community features and user-generated content around each event.
