The project
DeliverIt is an on-demand pickup and delivery service in Dubai and across the UAE. A customer describes the item, picks a package size from small parcel to car recovery, and sets the pickup and drop-off points. Nearby drivers send offers with a price and pickup time, and the customer accepts the one that suits them. From there the app shows the trip on a live map, lets the customer chat with the rider and takes payment by Apple Pay, card or cash. Businesses can register to offer same-day delivery to their own customers.
The challenge
- Sending a document, gift or forgotten item across town meant arranging a courier by phone with no clear price.
- Customers could not see where their package was or talk to the driver directly.
- Small businesses in Dubai had no simple way to offer same-day delivery to their customers.
What we built
- A request flow that captures the item, package size and pickup and drop-off locations.
- Driver offers with price and pickup time, so customers choose before they commit.
- Live tracking with estimated time and distance, plus in-app chat with the rider.
- Saved addresses for quick reorders and payment by Apple Pay, card or cash.
- Business accounts for shops that want on-demand delivery for their own orders.
