The project
A web platform that helps people, families and communities turn their memories into lasting books. An empathetic AI interviewer asks adaptive questions, by text or by voice, and turns the answers into written chapters such as memories, life tributes and life journals. Users then edit the story, choose a book design, customize the layout and review the final version before it is printed as a high-quality book. We built the web app in React with a Node.js back end and Python services for the AI side.
The challenge
- Most people have stories worth keeping but lack the time, writing skills or confidence to put them into words.
- Memories stay scattered across photos and conversations and fade when they are never written down.
- Designing, laying out and printing a book is complex and expensive without automation.
