The project
Vibe Radio: USA, published on Google Play as Am Radio USA Online: Live Fm, is a radio streaming app for listening to live American stations on the go. Listeners find music, news, sports and talk stations by genre, language or search, save favorites and keep listening in the background while they drive, work or exercise. A Now Playing screen shows the track and stream quality, a sleep timer stops playback, and Your Vibes sums up listening time, top stations and top genres.
The challenge
- Listeners who wanted American radio on their phone had to jump between station websites and separate apps.
- With thousands of stations, finding one by genre or city was slow.
- Radio needs to keep playing while the phone is locked or another app is open.
What we built
- A single app with thousands of US stations across music, news, sports and talk.
- A home screen with trending and recently played stations, plus genre and language filters.
- Station search and a Browse by Genre grid.
- Background playback with a mini player, a full Now Playing screen and a sleep timer.
- Favorites and listening stats gathered under Your Vibes.
