The project
MemoryCrest lets families create a lasting digital memorial for someone they have lost. A memorial page holds the person's life story, an unlimited photo gallery and a moderated tribute wall where visitors leave messages or light a virtual candle. Families choose public pages or private, family-only sharing. Each memorial connects to a physical memorial product through a QR code, so anyone at a grave or keepsake can scan it and open the page. A public registry lets people search memorials by name, place and date.
The challenge
- Memories of a loved one end up scattered across phones, albums and social media.
- Families wanted a respectful space to share them, away from the noise of social networks.
- A headstone or plaque carries a name and dates but cannot tell the person's story.
What we built
- A memorial builder to create a tribute page in a few simple steps.
- Unlimited photo galleries that build a timeline of the person's life.
- A moderated tribute wall with messages and virtual candles.
- QR codes that link physical memorial products to the online page.
- A memorial search by name, city, state, country and date.
