The project
KeysMed is a mobile app that connects healthcare professionals with open shifts at medical facilities. Facilities post the shifts they need to fill, and professionals browse them, pick the ones that suit them and plan their week. A map shows which facilities nearby have open shifts. Each user has an account page for their profile and preferences, and a secure document area to upload certifications and identification once, ready for every facility. We built it with Flutter, React and Laravel.
The challenge
- Medical facilities struggled to fill shifts quickly when they were short of staff.
- Professionals looking for extra shifts had to check with each facility separately.
- Certifications and ID were collected again and again on paper or by email.
