The project
Home Care Timesheet Management is a platform for home care agencies that still ran on paper timesheets. Caregivers pick a client, choose a daily or weekly timesheet, enter clock-in and clock-out times and tick the tasks they did in each room, such as changing linen, then add comments and submit. Business rules stop a timesheet going in with missing information, and reminders keep submissions on time. Administrators track every caregiver's timesheets in a web portal, where branded timesheets are stored and searchable for payroll and audits. We built the iOS and Android apps in Flutter with a Node.js and MySQL backend.
The challenge
- Caregivers filled in paper timesheets and dropped them off, faxed them or emailed them each week.
- Missing hours or tasks only came to light when payroll was being run.
- Agencies had to keep paper records searchable for audits and regulators.
What we built
- A mobile app for daily and weekly timesheets with clock-in and clock-out times per client.
- Room-by-room task checklists and comments for each visit.
- Business rules that block submission until required information is filled in, plus automated reminders.
- An administrator portal to track submissions and store timesheets for payroll and audits.
