The project
CourtDocs is a mobile app for people working with one or more lawyers on a case. A client sees every lawyer they work with in one list and can reach each of them by chat, audio call or video call without leaving the app. Documents for the case are uploaded to the app and kept together, so it works like a briefcase the client carries on their phone. We built the mobile app in Flutter; the backend runs on Node.js and MySQL, and the web side on React.
The challenge
- Clients with several lawyers juggled separate phone numbers, email threads and messaging apps.
- Case documents were scattered across email attachments and paper files.
What we built
- One list of all the client's lawyers, each a tap away.
- In-app chat, audio calls and video calls between client and lawyer.
- Document upload, so the client's case files stay together in the app.
