The project
Step Right is a podiatry and foot care clinic in Waterford, Ireland, that diagnoses, treats and helps prevent foot and lower limb problems, from foot pain and sports injuries to diabetic foot care. Its Shopify website does two jobs. Patients learn about conditions, gait and biomechanical assessments and clinic treatments, then book an appointment. Shoppers buy supportive footwear, custom insoles, safety boots, hiking shoes and foot care products chosen by the clinic's neuromuscular experts, with foot health articles alongside.
The challenge
- The clinic's services and its retail range lived apart, so patients advised on footwear had to look elsewhere to buy it.
- Patients needed to understand treatments such as gait assessment before booking.
- Many shoes cannot take orthotics, which makes buying the right pair online hard.
What we built
- A Shopify site that combines clinic pages and an online shop under one navigation.
- Pages for services, foot and gait assessment, clinic treatments and conditions.
- Book Now and Make Appointment buttons on every page.
- A shop for footwear by brand, insoles and foot care products, where almost every shoe has a removable footbed for orthotics.
