The project
RoaveBox is a box creation platform for manufacturers. Instead of selling finished packaging, it supplies custom box designs tailored to each manufacturer's product, together with detailed blueprints the manufacturer uses to produce the boxes in its own facility. The business earns a royalty on each design it provides, which keeps the model fair for designers and affordable for manufacturers. We built the web platform in React with a MySQL database to manage designs, blueprints and the royalty arrangement behind them.
The challenge
- Manufacturers needed packaging made for their products but did not have in-house box designers.
- A design alone was not enough: the production team needed exact blueprints to make the boxes.
